Galbanum is an ancient and mysterious incense resin which comes from Iran. It is a relative of Asafoetida, Gum Ammoniac and Giant Fennel, but smells nothing like it. Galbanum has long been used in perfumery for its exotic aroma. Like Labdanum, raw Galbanum will stay soft and sticky, even if left out for a long period, so we package it in small glass jars. Compared to its essential oil form, raw unprocessed Galbanum Resin like this is quite rare.

I am a new perfumer, and not only is this my first buy from Soma Luna, it is among the first perfumery raw materials I am assembling. I wanted raw galbanum resin, as opposed to an essential oil or tincture, and the shopping-around I did on the internet pointed to this as a high-quality product. It comes in an easy to access round plastic jar, is very thick, dark & fragrant, looks very fresh (not dried out or "stubborn"), and is super-fragrant. Can't wait to work with it. Even tho I have nothing to compare it to, I'm going with 5 stars based on the many other good reviews.

Smell so good and great resin
One advice for easy use for small chunks get a knife ir any metal grab the quantity you on it and with the resin in the metal freeze it for like 30 minutes will stick to the metal and will come out hard to burn it with any herb or mix it !!!! AAAA++++

Great quality dark, thick and rich Galbanum. This seems very raw in form, and different from the lighter refined resin I have received in the past. The resin was shipped in a nice jar as stated. Very recommended!

This is the deepest, richest, muskiest form of galbanum I've found. Dark and powdery, with hints of citrus and cedarwood. I haven't burned it but rather tinctured it for use in perfumery. Beautiful stuff.

Exactly what I wanted. Quick delivery. (However, it comes in thick plastic baggies, not container, as shown. No problem, just be aware.)

This is sooooo hard to get yet this is it. You don't need to go anywhere else. EXCELLENT quality, exact weight, fast shipping....what else can you ask???
Only thing I would complain is the packaging. Product came wrapped in a plastic wrap and then in a ziploc. Not the best when you want to actually take it out a everything stays in the plastic wrap (i was trully expecting a little jar...). Beyond that, the product excels in quality

This resin is exquisite. It goes from a earthy tone and then when it burns it totally changes it's mind and becomes airy and mystical. A must for all connoisseurs. It was package in plastic, and I stuck it in the freezer for a little while and transferred it into a small jar with ease. The secret is the freezer. Very satisfied customer. Thanks LuLu

I was very pleased with the aroma, and quality of this product. Though, I was disappointed that it wasn't packed in a jar as mentioned in the product description. Resins of this consistency are a nightmare to work with in their raw state, and I partially ordered this product due to the fact that it was conveniently packed in a container.
