Palo Santo is a protected species in South America and its harvesting, usually by collecting fallen branches, is closely monitored by the government. This creates a limited supply, but also ensures its survival for use by the indigenous people.
Each packages averages 4 to 6 ounces of large Palo Santo wood pieces, which are usually around 6 to 7 inches long.
