 |

Origin:United States of America
Uses: Manifestation, bringing things to fruition, engendering, healing

Dittany is a hard-to-find herb that is often called for in ancient incense recipes. It has a reputation for enhancing manifestations when performing evocation, and for increasing one's ability to Astral Project. It was also used in the Classical World for healing wounds.
A member of the Oregano family, Dictamnus is very fragrant. It is wonderful in incense blends or by itself.
Please note: Flora Cestrica is the botanical name that the herb distributor gives to this herb. We grow true Origanum Dictamnus and can tell you that the aroma is nearly identical, although the leaf of Flora Cestrica is not as "fuzzy leafed" as the true Dittany from Crete. There is a chance that this herb is actually Cunila mariana, called Common Dittany or Stone Root, but we have yet to be able to source a live plant for comparison. So until we can confirm its identity differently, we will stick with the name which the herb distributor provides. And as for the Dittany which we grow, we do not currently have enough of the true Dittany to sell. Rest assured we will list it on the site when we have grown out our crop to provide more than a few pounds.
