Mastica, the resinous gum of a species of Greek pistachio tree has been used in Greece for hundreds of years as a remedy for a broad range of gastro-intestinal disorders. It was also a very important incense in the ancient world throughout many cultures. This is a good smelling high quality "incense grade" of mastic from Chios Greece, as opposed to the food grade you will find in some foreign food stores. As well as being an important ingredient in many Church incenses, Mastic is also used in the Goetia. |
