Since ancient times cultures throughout the world have recognized that many natural substances have a purifying or healing effect when burned. The burning of 'dhoops', or botanical mixtures, was a daily ritual performed at sunrise and sunset. These mixtures where burned on the coals from their fires. Triloka Himalayan Herbal Coals are used for this purpose, and they are made from dried herbs and woods. No chemicals or harmful additives were used.
Please note: these coals have an herbal and woody aroma and put off smoke themselves. They smell like a rustic campfire, and do not burn as hot as regular charcoal. It is best to put only very small amounts of resin on them at a given time, to avoid the melted resin putting them out. These coals would be great for shamanic workings and outdoor ceremonies. |
