Aroma: A very complex, rich, deep, balsam like, thick and spicey aroma.
Storax is called for in many Midieval and Ancient recipes. It is usually associated with Mercury, although some say it has a more Earthy aroma.
This is rare and high quality Turkish Storax bark, which has a stronger aroma than the American variety. This is most likely what was used in Ancient recipes when Storax Bark was called for. We also carry the Storax Resin also called Liquid Amber from the same tree.
