Palo Santo, also known as 'Holy Wood' or 'Sacred Tree', was first known to be used by the Incas for purification and cleansing, aid against misfortune, and for clearing an area of negative spirits. It is often been used in Ayahuasca ceremonies.
Palo Santo is a protected species in South America and its harvesting, usually by collecting fallen branches, is closely monitored by the government. This creates a limited supply, but also ensures its survival for use by the indigenous people.

Would have gotten 5 stars if the price was lower.
A very unique and original scent, glad to have it in my collection, and highly recommend you add it to yours.
Don't know much of anything about any stick incense.

If you think this Palo Santo resin, it's exactly the same fragrance than a Palo Santo (typical stick) with a wonderful arome, then this is not for you, but may be you like it...
It is similar, but there are other notes...I didn´t know these notes
Specially the grains with amber color, remember a lot a very good Palo Santo stick.
Not very smoke when burning. (That´s good for me)
